ENDORSEMENTS

I am humbled, grateful, and blessed to have the following people provide me with their endorsement for City Marshal of Groves. I hope you will not just consider the character and reputation of these individuals, but also consider why they chose to give me their endorsement.

Jeff Wilmore
City Marshal - Retired
City of Groves Police Department

"To the Citizens of Groves, My name is Jeff Wilmore and I would like to take this opportunity to announce my endorsement of Chris Robin as the City Marshal of the Groves Police Department. I have known Chris since 2012 when I hired him as a patrol officer. He has proven to be a wonderful public servant, father, husband, and leader. He has the work ethic and character needed to manage the department in these unusual times.

As the interim City Marshal, Chris has gathered the needed experience working with the Mayor and Council to earn their trust going forward. He has learned the administrative skills that are vitally necessary to manage the budget, policy, and procedures. Those skills combined with his morally sound decision-making, make him the best choice for your City Marshal."

Kirk Rice
Chief Deputy - Retired
City of Groves Police Department

"I am writing this letter to endorse Chris Robin for City Marshal. I have known Chris from his first day as a police officer. Since 2012, I have supervised and observed Chris in the performance of his duties. I know him to be honest, sincere, and truthful, and I received nothing but compliments from the public about Chris’ ability in bringing the citizens together and building trust.

The duties of the City Marshal are more challenging today than ever. The fact that policing has dramatically changed in regard to technology, retention, and law enforcement-related issues requires someone who will be prepared on day one.

As the current Interim City Marshal, Chris has the experience and working knowledge of the office, which means he will be prepared on day one to serve."

Norman Reynolds Jr

City Marshal - Retired

City of Groves Police Department

"At the end of last year, I stood before the Groves City Council and recommended that they consider appointing Sgt. Chris Robin as Interim Groves City Marshal upon my retirement. During this time the Groves City Council voted unanimously to appoint him to said position.

After serving as a police officer for 44 years, I retired on January 5th, 2024. For more than 9 years I served as the Groves City Marshal. Since that time, Sgt. Robin has eagerly accepted his appointment with both fervor and zeal.

I have supervised both candidates throughout their careers at Groves Police Department. The ONLY candidate who possesses the qualifications and leadership skills for this position is the Interim Groves City Marshal Chris Robin.

Interim Groves City Marshall (Chris Robin) is also a man of integrity, honesty, character, compassion, and above all... faith.  These qualities set him apart from his opponent. I know that he will consistently make the right choice, regardless of how unpopular it might be.

Please stand with myself, Marshal Norman Reynolds Jr., along with retired Groves City Marshals Jeff Wilmore, Steve Savoy, and Mark Domingue in support of Chris Robin. He is the obvious choice and any other would not be good for the citizens of Groves or the employees of the Groves Police Department."
